Day Hikes  2014 - Yosemite's Mist Trail  [37]

2014 - Yosemite's Mist Trail

Visiting Yosemite in May has some very distinct advantages; the crowds a lighter than during the summer months, the weather can still be great, and best of all the waterfalls are at their peak. Our trip to Yosemite was great, the only problem being it was too short. Included here is our day hike on the Mist Trail to Vernal Falls, up to Clark Point, and then returning via the John Muir Trail. The hike was spectacular, and we truly found out exactly why they name the trail the “Mist Trail”. Even if you have limited time in Yosemite, this should be a hike that is on your list. Our route was ~6.5 miles and 1500 feet of elevation gain.
